Watch Log: Monday, February 20, 2012

DAY SHIFT

AFTERNOON SHIFT

1654     Protest/Vandalism     675 E 500 S.    12-29274

An unidentified group of protesters gathered at the above location in opposition to a mining permit that was issued to a local company. Using chalk, the protesters wrote on the building property.  They also poured what appeared to be chocolate syrup in front of the property. The protesters left the area before police arrived.

1906     Hit and Run/Possession   49 N. Rio Grande St.    12-29337

Officers responded to the report of a Hit & Run traffic accident where the victim was following the suspect. Officers located and stopped the suspect vehicle. The driver of the suspect vehicle, John Hobbs (11/16/82) was booked into jail for leaving the scene of an accident, possession of a controlled substance, possession of a weapon by a restricted person, along with multiple traffic offenses. The passenger, Carolyn Crossley (12/9/89), was booked into jail for possession of a false identification card.
