A male suspect entered the Maverik and loitered for a while before approaching the clerk. The suspect then brandished a handgun and demanded cash. The clerk complied and the suspect initially fled westbound on 300 South where he got into a brown vehicle with another male and drove off. Suspect description: a white male with a goatee, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a white hoodie underneath and wearing sunglasses. He told the victim his name was “Mike.” Video surveillance is not available at this time.

While crossing Redwood Road at this location, two boys, ages 7 and 11, were struck by an older, full-sized van. The van also struck a northbound vehicle. The boys were transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.
