Watch Log: Wednesday, February 22, 2012

Thomas Quinn (4/11/82) was shooting multiple rounds into the ground at the above apartment complex. Officers were able to take him into custody without incident. He was medically evaluated at a local hospital before being booked into jail. Quinn was charged with discharge of a firearm in city limits, possessing a firearm while intoxicated, possession of spice, possession of paraphernalia, and public intoxication.

Officers were called to Utah Metal Works on a male who was selling scrap metal that was possibly stolen. David Carlson (3/5/60) was stopped and found in possession of stolen property that was taken in a burglary in South Salt Lake. South Salt Lake police detectives were called out and took over the investigation.

A 21-year-old male was walking down Montgomery Street when a small dark sedan with an unknown number of passengers drove passed him yelling profanities. The victim got into a verbal argument with one of the passengers of the vehicle. That passenger exited the vehicle, approached the victim, and stabbed him in the abdomen multiple times. The suspect fled southbound on Montgomery Street in a vehicle. The suspect was described as a male Hispanic, 5’10” tall, with short brown hair wearing a blue button up shirt. The victim was transported to a local hospital with minor cuts to his abdomen.
