An officer who was on patrol saw Jeffrey Peter Wilson (6/13/1982) being chased across the street by security guards from the Hotel bar. The officer assisted security guards in taking Wilson into custody. Wilson had been in the bar when he stole a woman’s purse and started removing items from it. The Hotel’s security guards attempted to detain Wilson, but he actively fought them and ran from the club with the stolen purse. An officer was able to take Wilson into custody without incident. Wilson had drugs that were not prescribed to him. Wilson was booked into jail on charges of robbery and possession of a controlled substance.
