Watch Log February 17, 2012

GRAVEYARD SHIFT

2307    Auto/TRAX Accident    115 S. Main St.    12-27758

A vehicle was northbound on Main St. when it made a U-turn and collided with a TRAX train. The train was damaged and the vehicle was totaled. No injuries.

0151    Fight/Arrest    180 W. 400 S.    12-27853

Officers responded on a fight call at “Club One”. After the crowd dispersed, a man ran up and kicked one of the cars trying to leave. As the occupants exited, the man fled towards waiting officers, only to break free from them and continue fleeing. As he was being pursued by officers he stopped briefly to discard a handgun, throwing it on the ground, before officers caught up to him. Ahmed Jama (1/1/86) was booked for disturbing the peace, fleeing, obstruction, carrying a concealed weapon.
