Watch Command Log: Thursday, April 5, 2012

Two male adults entered the business at this address, purchasing a table that they then wheeled out of store. However, as they left an employee found an empty stereo box hidden on a shelf. Realizing the suspects could have concealed the stereo in the table an employee went outside to contact the suspects. One of the suspects punched and then kicked him as both men then fled west on 300 South. Their vehicle is described as an older white Jeep Cherokee. #1 suspect is a white male, mid 20s, 6’1” tall, medium build. #2 suspect is a white male, mid 20’s, 5’8”, medium build. Both have brown hair, white T-shirts and baggy jeans. The employee was transported to the hospital with a minor injury to the face.

Dispatch had received multiple calls throughout the day about a suspicious person trespassing and concerns about a rifle case he was carrying. Then at Club Tri-angles a male adult tried to enter the bar carrying a rifle case and other belongings in a shopping cart. As he was turned away by the doorman the man turned and told the doorman…”I am about to end your life……” at the same time reaching for the rifle bag slung over his shoulder. The doorman retreated back into the club and locked the door, calling police. The suspect was located nearby. Officers found no rifle in the rifle bag. They did find an almost empty bottle of Vodka and a box-cutter. Donald Bickell (10-24-61) was booked Aggravated Assault.

Auto/Pedestrian Accident

A 16-year-old male was riding a skateboard and was struck by a northbound SUV as he attempted to cross at approximately 2200 East Roosevelt Ave. He was transported in critical condition. The investigation is ongoing.
