Press Release: March 3, 2012 Robbery Suspect Sought

March 8, 2012 —The Salt Lake City Police Department seeks the community’s help to identify and locate a man involved in a robbery at 504 S. West Temple.


 On February 29, 2012 at around 12:40 p.m. the suspect rode up to the Chevron located at 504 S. West Temple St. on his bicycle while the victim drove up to the gas pump.

The suspect was holding a set of bolt cutters when he approached the victim who was using the gas pumps. The suspect then grabbed at the money in the hand of the victim while threatening to use the bolt cutters as a weapon.

The victim was able to push the suspect off of him, get inside the business and lock the door. The suspect fled on his bike, southbound on West Temple St.

The suspect is described as a male Hispanic adult, 5’2” to 5’4”, 22-29 years old, with dark hair and a thick moustache. He was last seen wearing a green parka, black gloves, blue jeans and a brown beanie cap.
