Two male adults entered the business at this address, purchasing a table that they then wheeled out of store. However, as they left an employee found an empty stereo box hidden on a shelf. Realizing the suspects could have concealed the stereo in the table an employee went outside to contact the suspects. One of the suspects punched and then kicked him as both men then fled west on 300 South. Their vehicle is described as an older white Jeep Cherokee. #1 suspect is a white male, mid 20s, 6’1” tall, medium build. #2 suspect is a white male, mid 20’s, 5’8”, medium build. Both have brown hair, white T-shirts and baggy jeans. The employee was transported to the hospital with a minor injury to the face.

Dispatch had received multiple calls throughout the day about a suspicious person trespassing and concerns about a rifle case he was carrying. Then at Club Tri-angles a male adult tried to enter the bar carrying a rifle case and other belongings in a shopping cart. As he was turned away by the doorman the man turned and told the doorman…”I am about to end your life……” at the same time reaching for the rifle bag slung over his shoulder. The doorman retreated back into the club and locked the door, calling police. The suspect was located nearby. Officers found no rifle in the rifle bag. They did find an almost empty bottle of Vodka and a box-cutter. Donald Bickell (10-24-61) was booked Aggravated Assault.

Auto/Pedestrian Accident

A 16-year-old male was riding a skateboard and was struck by a northbound SUV as he attempted to cross at approximately 2200 East Roosevelt Ave. He was transported in critical condition. The investigation is ongoing.

The Safe Streets Task Force, SLCPD SWAT and SLCPD K9 served a search warrant in the area of the above location. Heroin, paraphernalia and packaging material were seized as a result of the search warrant. Chase Dell (12/1/88), Joey Dell (1/15/65) and Debbie Herrera (10/10/63) were all booked into jail for possession with intent to distribute. Chase Dell also had an outstanding warrant for possession of a firearm by a restricted person.

A 4-month-old female was taken to a local hospital for treatment of leg injuries. It was discovered that both of the child legs were broken. Officers were called to the hospital. An investigation into the injuries led to the booking of Lorissa Boltinghouse (7/9/81) and Jeremy Johnson (5/4/83) for child abuse.

AFTERNOON SHIFT

1659   Stabbing   754 W. North Temple Street   12-54581

Juan Estrada (5/1/50) and a 40-year-old male got into an altercation at the All Star Motel. During the incident Juan used a box cutter to cut the 40-year-old on the abdomen. The victim was transported to a local hospital in critical condition. Juan was booked into jail for aggravated assault.

An 18-year-old suspect was visiting his 16-year-old girlfriend and their infant. A dispute began between the suspect and his girlfriend’s father. The boyfriend pulled out a BB gun and discharged a BB at the girlfriend’s father hip causing minor injuries. The suspect then exited the house and discharged two more BBs through the front window before fleeing the scene.

2353   Loud Party/Foot pursuit   1124 W. Brooklyn Ave   12-53606

Officers responded to 1124 W. Brooklyn Ave on a loud party. When officers approached the garage where the party was being held they observed juveniles, who they know by name, inside drinking beer.
When the officers made contact with the males inside, a 17-year-old male tossed a loaded handgun magazine on the floor. A handgun was also next to him on a table. As officers were dealing with the 17-year-old, Christian Ramos (5/16/92) ran from the party. Ramos made it a block or so away before hiding in an unlocked vehicle. He was located by officers and arrested.
Three males were cited for minor in possession of alcohol. Ramos went to jail for interfering and fleeing. The 17-year-old male went to detention for being a restricted person in possession of a firearm, possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia and minor in possession of alcohol.

2356   Aggravated Robbery   800 W. North Temple Street   12-52914

A 36-year-old male, 34-year-old female and 11-year-old male had just purchased food from the Rancherito restaurant and were sitting in their car. Three suspects approached the victims. One of the suspects pointed a chrome pistol at the 36-year-old and demand money. The 11-year-old gave the suspects some money after they pointed the gun at him. A brief struggle ensued and the 36-year-old was hit several times by the suspects before the suspects fled the area.
