Suspect Wanted in Homicide

UPDATE: Suspect turned himself in to the Bureau of Indian Affairs in Ft. Duchesne a little before midnight 10/02/10.

Salt Lake City Police Department homicide detectives are asking for the public’s help in locating a criminal homicide suspect.

Shortly before 11 a.m., Reuben “Sonny Bear” Cesspooch, 52, allegedly got into a fight with an acquaintance at 451 S. State Street. The 50-year-old victim, also Native American, suffered blunt force trauma to the head and died at the scene.


Suspect description:
• 6’2”
• 250 lbs.
• collar-length salt-and-pepper hair
• brown eyes
• no front teeth
• last seen wearing black Levi’s jeans and a white t-shirt

Although homicide detectives believe Cesspooch to be in the area, he also has family in the Roosevelt and Ogden areas.

The Police Department asks anyone with information about Cesspooch’s location to call (801) 799-3000. Callers may remain anonymous.
